People will stop by and grab www.the-north-faces.com whatever they need, and sometimes the clothes are snapped up in minutes, and if the clothing is of good quality and the least bit stylish, well that's all the better isn't it?  very little will go to waste.I still believe the best place to drop off clothing donations is Good will or the Salvation Army. They are the established in purveyors of such needs and is well known that they are the distributors that people are well aware.  Thrift stores are becoming increasingly more popular north face jackets these days for whatever reasons and these non-profit organizations have the wherewithal to use almost all of the donated clothing that they receive, since there's such a great need, it's a really good possibility that the clothes will be used. Of course, sometimes it is best to put your clothing donations in a free box. This week Scott has drawn the lines where the beginning (back side) of the wall may be.

No one has talked with Scott on whether this is the direction the wall will be constructed..

During the meeting, a number of the members voiced that if this will represent the direction

of the wall given Scott's proposed 1 foot setback, then they felt it unnecessary to persue

a court action.

The overall concern remains with the fact that we are to have a "bathing beach" and

with a boat dock, that the "bathing beach" will be lost. Not to mention that if

a dock is in place, with no means to cross, we essentially loose half the beach! No one

thinks the dock is a good think, and the plan it to block it's construction as much as feasible.

A couple of members will storm town hall tomorrow to see if there is anything that can be

done through the city. Their plan is to work on blocking both the wall and the dock.

Next meeting will update the association on their effort, and focus on the community yard

sale planned for the end of the month. The meeting will be at Joe's Place arround 7ish.

We should talk about how to market, and show participation in the event.

During this meeting there was discussion of retaining a lawyer to execute a

cease and desist order. At this point we have pledges for $2500 from the following

association members:

Michael MacDonald          $1000

Joseph Barnett                 $1000

Patricia King                      $500

This does not give us what we need as a retainer of $5000.

The original lawyer (Don Peters) no longer practices, and his referral had too long of a waiting list.

The plan is to see if we can get a restraining order on the wall building until we can gather more funds.

Pat will check with the lawyer on this; as well we will plan to sue to cover court costs.

The remainder of the meeting was spent planning fund raising events. We will have 

a community yard sale at the end of this month.

In the mean time we will continue to negotiate with Scott Ruskin in hopes to resolve this

without an ugly court battle.
